Bette Davis eyes, stars in an adorably-styled hit TV show, consistently nails the red carpet mani game and has even lent her pretty face and musical talents for a cute cotton commercial. The LA-based actress and chanteuse’s next obvious move is a fashion line, which is finally happening thanks to a chance encounter between the vintage enthusiast and all-American designer Tommy Hilfiger.
As Hilfiger tells WWD, the quirky-meets-sporty range of 16 dresses—named To Tommy, From Zooey—is “very Jean Shrimpton and Twiggy; really from the Sixties in London.” The sportswear-inspired designer goes on to tell the fashion trade pub what we all know and love about the New Girl star: “She reminds me of Audrey Hepburn for her sense of humor, her sophistication […] At the same time, she has a Jackie O type of chicness to her.”
Priced from $98 to $199, select pieces from the retro collab will hit shelves at Macy’s starting April 14th; the rest of the capsule collection lands one week later at select Tommy Hilfiger stores and online.
