Helmut Lang had a few key words to describe the collection: crisp, sharp, pure, and clean. Staying true to its minimalist roots, designers Nicole and Michael Colovos looked to the work of contemporary artist Wade Guyton as a source of inspiration. With a palette consisting of mostly black and white, textures and proportion were key. Sharp tops and slouchy bottoms were accentuated with the use of wool and leather bonded to jersey to create the illusion of relaxed tailoring. Hits of fuchsia, blush, and snakeskin kept the collection from being too stark. Beauty notes include wine tinted lips and low slung ponytails cinched with a thick leather wrap.
